Dark Art

It seems many of my friends have a love of things that are dark or Gothic.  My Dark Man falls into that category.  This is a side that I've never before explored.  Here are some dark art images.

Homage

Some of the art that we mail artists do is to pay homage to other artists, past and present.  It is a great way to explore styles and it helps one to "see" artworks in a whole new way.  The following are some of my Homage Artworks.

A La Gustav Klimt

One of my favorite artists is Gustav Klimt.  The ATC above is painted as

an homage to Gustav. As are Klimt's "Kiss" and the "sleeping beauty" below.

Some GREAT mail art swapping sites!

Artist's Trading Cards, ATCs, are small works of art measuring 2 1/2" X 3 1/2".  They are always tradeed, never sold.  I belong to several mail art sites.  Check them out

Art Trader Magazine:

A great place to see mail art!!! You may even see my art there!

Two of these are ATC sites.  The third is for soft rubber carvers.  Mail art is exchanged in the Carving Consortium, too.  It is a fun way to share art with other artists worldwide. It is always fun to find art in my mailbox.
