Artist's  Trading Card Alphabet

One of my online friends is hosting a swap for four or five letters of the alphabet per swap.

.A, B, C and D are acrylic paint on purple paper.

E. F, G and H are pen and ink with watercolor backgrounds.  They are all embellished with glitterpen accents that do not show on the scan.

The greens in the above letter cards actually match in real life.  I am not sure why they scan so differently although the pale green is dyed cardstock and the green drawing parts are marker. 

 This "T is for Tank Girl" one is one of my favorites.  Tank Girl makes me smile.

 

And, out of the entire alphabet, I think I like this one best.  It reminds me of Emma, oureight-year-old granddaughter, who loves umbrellas.  The marbled paper background came from a batch the grandchildren and I made in our back yard.

 I have to admit that, as the entire alphabet was made over several months time, I was not too "into" this last batch of letters.  I used three markers and had fun drawing over one color with another to see the result.  It felt much like PLAYTIME!
